It's as clumsy as it is real. And I'm as slow as I am.

Do the above sentences make sense to you?

Maple, In some ways, I think it makes sense to me, BUT it needs a proper context. The way it stands, it meant no more than the words. This is my take: If you say: " John is actually as clumsy as it is real".

This is my take:

If you say: " John is actually as clumsy as it is real". You are saying in real life he is really that clumsy.

"I am as slow as I am" means "being slow is my nature, so don't expect anything more".

Grammatically they are correct. I'm not sure about appropriateness without context.
