Hello teachers.

Guy: Last time we spoke you said your dog was very ill. Is it doing better?

Girl: No, it's not.

Guy: As in...?

Girl: Yes, unfortunately.


Is this correct? In particular 'as in...?'?

Is it clear that the dog is dead? If not clear is it then strongly implied?
