I have saw that in many sentences but can't recall now. Hasn't it an obvious meaning?

Let me give you an example: "I've heard a lot of things about 9/11 in several places, as in National Geographic". It indicates an example of place. You talk about something that there is in a lot of places, and you give an example of one of those places with as in. In that context, it has the same meaning as "for example in" or "such as in".

This kind of 'as in' is different with mine. In that 'as in' the last 'as' is part of 'as ... as' expression not a part of separate 'as in'. But anyway, thank you.

At the beginning of this thread, you had no 'kind'. You had nothing. That was my point.

In both mine and enoon's examples, "as in" was a separate expression, just as you wanted.

Yes. Just true. Finally I think I should consider as in expression as "for example in" or "such as in" in any feature texts.
