Should I use "as if" or "as though" in the sentence below?

You shout at me as if/as though I were deaf.

B. Or you have to change "I were" into "I'm" if you insist on using "shout" as follows:

It really doesn't matter. Use whichever you like better. ('as if' is more common, but 'as though' is just as correct.)
