the structure as if~

1. He behaved as if nothing had happened.?takes a clause
2. A snow storm was coming up as if to meet the morning sun.?takes to-infinitive
3. He spoke in a low mumble, as if to himself.?takes a prepositional "to" phrase
4. She approached me as if by coincidence.?takes a prepositional "by" phrase

I'd like to know if by any chance,"as if" can take an adjective/ noun/ adverb.
