Dear members

"she acted as if nothing important had happened."

Could I change the sentence above like this showing below?

" In fact, something important had happened to her"

" In fact, something important had happened to her" That's not changing the sentence. You can certainly add that, however. But it is not necessary to add that because the first part implies the second part.
