As good as or as well as?

Peter works very well.

John works very well.

A. John doesn't work as good as Peter

B. John doesn't work as well as Peter

(I'd like to mean that Peter's working ability is better than John.)

Although "well" can be used, there are much better choices.


John doesn't work as diligently / efficiently / hard / dependably as Peter
