(Does it mean: I'll help you to a great degree in which my helping you should be possible.)( 2 ) As far as I know, they're coming by car. (Does it mean: That thing is to the degree in which I am made known.)

As far as I know is a common expression, meaning, essentially, "I think I'm right, but I could be wrong."
