As far as I am concerned

"As far as I am concerned, the answer to the question varies."

I think the upper sentence is wrong, because I have to use "I" as the subject, right?

So I correct the sentence as "As far as I am concerned, I think it depens."

My question is for the format of"As far as I am concerned, ***.", the subject of *** should be "I", right?

Thank you!

Hello, hellohello-- and welcome to English forums. No, the subject of the main clause needn't be 'I'. As far as I am concerned is a comment clause , which is not really dependent on the grammar of the main clause: As far as I am concerned, bats are just flying mice.

I suppose you could say it, but it is redundant and should be edited when writing. 'As far as I am concerned' = 'I think'.
