As , because

Hi there,
Are there situations where 'since', 'because', 'as'?

For example,
He stayed home from work (as / since / because) he was sick.

Thanks a lot.

Thanks so much.

Are there situations where 'since', 'because', 'as' are not interchangeable?

Oh, I suppose so—there usually are in English. As when 'since=because' can be confused with 'since=after', for instance.
