"as" as a conjunction

Hi,

I'm looking forward to Thursday as I've been invited to the party.

What's the function of as in this sentence? I mean what does it mean in this case? If we want to rephrase the sentence how will it be?

Thanks..

Hi,

Is there any difference among as, since, because? They seem to be the same in this case, don't they?

Thanks..
