Please tell me how would the situation be differ if I used 'since' and 'as' in this situation.

As our meetings are held bimonthly every two weeks, I feel ...

Since our meetings are help bimonthly every two weeks, I feel ...

I feel 'every two weeks' is redundant but since the phrase is an expression of time, no preposition is necessary, setting aside the 'redundancy' issue. Am I right? Sorry if I ask trivial questions.

But I found in dictionary that :

bimonthly means "every two months"
