'as' and 'since'

Is there any difference between these two when used for giving reasons?

"As we are running so late we should get a taxi."
"Since we are running so late we should get a taxi."

It seems to me there is no difference here. Is there *** a difference?

Thanks!

You are right in thinking so. I don't think there is any difference between 'as' and 'since' when used for giving reasons.
