Both sentences are grammatical, but unusual. You usually don't "drive a boat," unless it's motor launch, and a young boy would usually not have such an expensive boat.

Both sentences are grammatical, but unusual. You usually don't "drive a boat," unless it's motor launch, and a young boy would usually not have such an expensive boat.
