Hello,

A type of false attribution in which a passage is removed from its surrounding matter in such a way as to distort its intended meaning

Does here as mean though? If we omit it , will the sentence loses its meaning?

'As' is correct in your sentence; you should not omit it. The grammatical structure is 'such (a way)...as', which means 'in a manner causing'. It does not mean 'though'.
