You're mixing registers ('development environment', 'messed up' ,'do not'). Actually, it is so arcane that I don't even know what the first term means-- so I'll just leave that phrase untouched but questioned:

The development environment on (?) your computer will become as chaotic as your room (is) if you do not organize it.

Your sentences is much better. As far as I know, 'development environment' is a specialized term that I think means a platform on which a programmer creates software or programs.
