Please help me with this.
This can be caused by earth quake volcanic eruption or asteroid falling on the ground.
Do we an article a before asteroid?
What about using articles before earth quake, volcanic eruption?

But I don't know why asteroid has an article but the other two do not!

Possibly because the asteroid is part of a noun phrase. For example...
