Articles necessity

Hello.

Could anybody tell me, which alternative is correct and why?

"I'm a chess player, a webdesigner and a terrorist."

Or

"I'm a chess player, webdesigner and terrorist."

Is the article necessary before every single noun?

Thanks.

Articles are sometimes omitted in lists, and yours is a list. However, if you want to be emphatic about your three roles, you can of course use the article before each word. CB
