Articles in headings and lists

Hello,

Writing a technical description of a software, I need to make a lot of sections, subsections and paragraphs, each of which needs to have a heading of their own.

In addition, there have to be a lot of lists showing various features of that software.

Do I have to use articles in the headings and/or lists, or can they be elided?

An example:

Main benefits
  • greater transparency of company activities,
  • relevant data for decision-making,
  • an increase in labour productivity,
  • a reduction of cost,
  • a higher level of data security,
  • an increase in the reliability of production processes or in the quality of production,
  • effective evaluation of a company’s activities, and controlling.
When - if ever - can I omit articles?

Many thanks for your comments!
