Vocabulary

articles[-d]

According to LDCE:
articles = BrE an agreement by which someone finishes their training, especially as a lawyer; by working for a company
articled = BrE someone who is articled to a company of lawyers, ACCOUNTING etc, is employed by that company while they are training to become a lawyer etc: an articled clerk
I wonder what are the American equivalents of
'articles' and 'articled'.
Thank you.

Apprenticeship

The American legal system is unique in that, with two exceptions, it has no formal apprenticeship or clinical training requirements
