Articles confusion

Hi,

on a website - usingenglish.com

these 2 sentences goes on like:

- I am against....(no article)...capital punishment.

- He never listens to ..(no article)..... classical music.

however,in other sentence, 'the' is used:

- I don't believe in ...the... death penalty for any crime.

I am not able to understand the difference between both sentences.
