Articles A/An/The

Hello everyone, I'm little bit confused if dealing with 'articles'.

Please correct these four sentences below if there is any mistakes. And please explain more clearly about the difference of "a, an, and the".

1) I saw an accident this morning. A car crashed into the wall. The driver of the car wasn't hurt but the car was badly damaged.

2) We like an old house in the middle of the village. There is a beautiful garden behind the house. The roof of the house is in very bad condition.

3) The postman brings a lot of stamps every day.

4) Did the police find the person who stole your bicycle?
