Hello,

Are these sentences correct?
  1. Dogs are often the blind's guides.
  2. It's good to have a lot of money as vet visits are often expensive. (vet plays the role of an adjective here so no article?)
  3. A learner's self-esteem is very important in his school career. (even though self-esteem is uncountable we need an article because we have a singular noun before?)
  4. Learners' present would be appreciated. (any present?)
  5. A learners' present would be appreciated. (any present?)
  6. The learners' present would be appreciated. (particular learners)
  7. The learners' present was appreciated. (particular learners and particular present)
Thank you for your help.
