can someone help me with this article and get it in proper form to push to a car magazine for possible usage.
We are in times when the world is truly repeating its self. Great example is our fluctuating economy. But even more further proof in the car industry. A car enthusiast, that i am and i have specifically watched since 2006 cars repeat themselves for past history success and production. First up the shelby gt 500 burst on scene after about an absent for well over 30 years. NOw they 5.0 is back as a house hold name and the different variatons of gt 350 and hertz, king of the road are in production as well. another around that time and was famous in its return around 2006 is the Dodge charger. It was a muscle car from 1966 to 1978 and had small subcompact stint from 1983-1987. Dodge challenger which was a an icon in the dukes of hazard t.v. show and it has unburied itself and has came with a SRT vengeance for the past 2 years. Mercedes has resurrected their gullwing door vehicle from the 1950's. A classic from lotus from 1962 called the elan shines like a morning star in 2010 paris auto show. This third generation Elan which is very much different from its predecessors and is supposedly supplied with a 450hp pressure charged V-6, along with being under 3000 lbs. Not to mention it is rumored to do 193mph top speed which is the same top end for the current Nissan GT-R and Porsche 911 turbo. Right next to the Elan out of five concepts revealed from lotus at the 2010 paris auto show was the Lotus Espirit. Which is more than significantly more powerful, delivering 620 hp, 0 to 60 in less than 3.4 seconds. And a top speed of 205mph. Scheduled to debut in production form 2013 in the spring. Sounds like its going after Ferrari, Lambo territory in the market with a price of 175,000 U.S. Dollars. Chevrolet I believe is having a blast with the retro times since they have returned the Zr1 to the corvette line up which has not been seen since 1995, and quite possibly the best corvette in history thus far and the most powerful to date with its ceramic brake design that almost matches identical to the ferrari fxx track car. A diameter reduction is really the main difference. A modified version of the LS3 engine. The LS9 engine includes a sixth Generation Eaton TVS R2300 roots 4- Lobe supercharger from Behr, utilizing an air to water, dual brick design which offers better efficiency than 3 lobe models. The Suspension is a double wishbone with Magnetic selective ride control, which operates in either tour or sport mode. Magnetic selective ride control shocks automatically adjust based on certain driving conditions and vehicle dynamics (cornering, Braking etc) for best or favorable handling. The system adjusts itself every millisecond to have keen handling whether its time at the race course on the track, or just cruising on the highway. Pulling up alongside it is a car who came on the scene as a special limited edition vehicle in 1996, which had 810 coupes and 190 convertibles. I am talking about the Chevy corvette Grandsport, which at the time had a LT4 in 96 for the production year. Hiroshima rumors have been spoken about the return of the madza rx-7 and the rotary engine may be packing 300 hp to have its resurface again as a 30,000 to 40,000 competitor in the sports car world. Who knows what company will bring back something that was a production car then and will be in the years to come. Truly History is repeating itself.
