Each cadaver was orotracheally intubated and ventilated with self-inflating bag 12 times per minute. The CS technique was performed following the standard ATLS procedure [3]. The insertion site was in the 5th intercostal space at the nipple level, just anterior to the midaxillary line. Two to three cm incision was made horizontally. The dissection of the subcutaneous tissue and muscle was done with scissors over the superior rim of the rib. Pleura was penetrated with a clamp and gloved finger was put in pleural space for protection of lung injury and examination of adhesions. The tube was inserted with the clamp in desired direction. Skin suture was used for the tube fixation.

"The tube was inserted with the clamp in the desired direction."

It may also be worth pointing out that this sentence is ambiguous. It's not clear if "in the desired direction" refers to the clamp or the tube.
