Article with wedding ceremony

Hi Teachers,

"Jack and I have just got engaged;
(i) We now need to schedule a wedding ceremony."
(i) We now need to schedule the wedding ceremony."

Is either correct? From one point of view "a" seems correct. From another there is only one wedding ceremony in this context. I think I am moving emphasis by choosing either "a" or "the", but I can use both, no?
