1. (Describing a routine)
He brings water from wells/the wells everyday.
Then gathers the fruit and put it into boxes.
2. (Describing what he did yesterday)
He brought water from wells/the wells.
Then gathered the fruit and put it into boxes.
(I think if the person who gathers fruit owns a large glove that has many different types of fruit or is a seller of different fruits, it is OK (correct to say/write "Then gathers/gathered the fruits and put them into boxes.")
How about this as instructions? Should it be "the" or "a"?
