Article usage

Hi,

Articles, articles . . .

Talking about an investment fund:

(A)

Performance has been strong.
The performance has been strong.

(B)
The fund has shown remarkable performance.
The fund has shown a remarkable performance.

My English 'consultant' says that in both cases, the article is optional and both 'performance/the performance' and 'remarkable performance' and 'a remarkable performance' are correct. It's just a matter of style.

Yes? Emotion: smile

Thank you.

Andy
