Do I need to put article "the" before "temperature?

"temperature" is both countable and uncountable so can we compromise "the" here?

I believe you are using the word "comprise" incorrectly, so I don't know exactly what you mean.

Nevertheless, "the" has nothing to do with countable and uncountable. Both kinds of nouns can take "the".

It's the use of "a" (or "an") and pluralization that has to do with countable and uncountable. Unco

It was "compromise". What i wanted to explain was that since it is uncountable too, we can omit "the" if we like to without affecting its grammatical value because I have seen many uncountable nouns without "the" preceding them.

In the sentence you posted originally you need "the".

Yes, that's about it.

countable: a (an), the, zero— Plural OK. zero is almost always
