Article problem : 'have (a) cosmetic surgery'

(to have cosmetic surgery) or (to have 'a' cosmetic surgery)?

My dictionary says that "cosmetic surgery" is uncountable, which would mean that only "have cosmetic surgery" is correct. I'm pretty sure that I've also heard people say "have a cosmetic surgery", so I guess this usage is becoming more and more acceptable.
