Article Problem

Dear Teachers,

Please, tell me if we use the definite article "the" with Bank Names.

E.g. The Lloyds Bank (is it correct?)

Thanks beforehand

No. Just 'Lloyd's Bank' when speaking of the bank itself. If it is by chance an adjective, however, an article may attach to the noun: 'the Lloyd's Bank parking lot'.

The Llyods Bank is incorrect, presuming you are speaking of the name of the bank.

Lloyds Bank is Lloyds Bank, just as Barclays Bank is Barclays Bank.

However, The First National Bank of Washington is not First National Bank of Washington.
