Article position

Hello.

I've just seen a sentence like this: "It's too nice a day to stay inside."

Is the position of the article right? It seems unusual to me.

But neither "It's a too nice day..." nor "It's too a nice day..." seems fine to me. Actually, the second one is pretty abominable. Emotion: big smile

Thank you in advance.
