Article for 'swim practice'

Hi,



Consider the following sentence from a native speaker. I don’t understand why there is no article before ‘swim practice’. Would it be wrong, if I inserted ‘a’ or ‘the’, or ‘his’ before ‘swim practice’?



Kevin's at swim practice, and Tom has a piano lesson.
