I read the following sentence in a book. I am not sure why there is no article before 'alphabetical order'. Would the sentence sound awckward if I replace it by 'the alphabetical order' ?
We have annual reports from many local companies on the shelf at the far right. They are in alphabetical order by company name.
Thanks,
MG.
