Article -> couple

Hi..

Please look at the articles in these sentences for my essay. Are both correct?

1. I introduced myself to a couple that lived next door.

2. I introduced myself to the couple that lived next door.

Its a first time mention for this couple.

My explanations:

1. A -> I emphasize the couple (or maybe there is more than one couple next door)

2. The -> I emphasize the next door location (or make it clear that it's the only couple next door).

Correct?
