Article before 'remaining leasing'

Hi,

According to a native English speaker, there is no requirement of ‘the’ before ‘remaining leasing’ in the following sentence. I feel that ‘the’ is required here. What do you think?

“The only near term risk to remaining leasing in 2009 is a 50,000 sf non-renewal at 505 Swath Drive that kicks in on Novemeber 1.”

Thanks,

MG.

In that case your sentence makes no sense. Here is a reformulation that does make sense (as far as the words in question are concerned, the rest of it remains unclear to me).
