Article before adjectives?

Articles modify nouns. I am confused about their usage before adjectives only.

Are these following sentences correct?.

He is a foolish.
or
He is a fool.
  • He is a goofy.
  • I am a misanthrope or I am a misanthropist?
  • He is an eccentric.
  • He is a perspicacious.
  • I am a paranoid.
Please help me on this!

Have nice days.
Thanks,
Harry

You do not use any article before an adjective unless it is followed by a noun. So: he is foolish, I am paranoid , etc. Hope that helps.
