article before adjective quoted

Hi,

Please tell me why I feel uneasy about seeing a case where an article is absent when adjective is in a quote and the noun following is in plural like this. Should the article be used always in cases like this?

the /a ??? "perfect" llists

  • "perfect" llists Perhaps you feel uneasy because you are not sure why the adjective is in quotes.
  • There's nothing wrong with having it in quotes, as long as you have suitable reason.
