but usually not right? or is it vice versa? I can't think of any examples( no article + an adjective + an uncounterble noun).

Still, these are exceptions. Most uncountable nouns can take an indefinite article when modified by an adjective or a classifying phrase.

Ah.. not using an indefinite article is uncommon so there's no way but to familiarize myself with those exceptional examples, just like memorizing or seeing or hearing irregular verbs many times to be familiar with them?
