Article "a' or "the" here?

Sentence: Do ask if you need an/the original copy of my bills or screenshots.

Question: I am scratching my head to find out as to what will be the correct article in the above sentence and context. Googling is confusing me further by showing tons of results with both a and the for "a/the copy of" search. So I need your help for it here. The person I am saying the above sentence has already has a/the(?) photocopy was my bills.

Thanks Emotion: smile

Hi, First, can you clarify this point?. What's the difference between 'an original copy' and 'a copy'? And how many original copies of a document can there be?

Use 'the'. There can only be one original.
