Hi,

This is an excerpt from an article about a famous judge.

“But the sharp words that earned the diminutive justice the moniker “Notorious RBG” in recent years were penned in dissent, not for the court’s majority.”

I’m not sure what ‘penned in dissent’ means. (I know what dissent is.)

Could you help me?

Thank you.
