i have some problem.Which sentence is correct.They are such a donkeys,There are such an idiots in this world orThey are such donkeys,They are such idiots .Should the article a should add before the noun for plural subject like if i want to use the word they.Anf is singular subject,should i add the the article a ? example,She is such a donkey,She is such a idiot.Lastly,should the 's' added to the noun like the word donkeys,idiots if the subject is plural like they.

No. I was dealing with your examples, which all used the verb 'be' in the form 'are'

I said, for example, that you can't say 'They are such a donkeys'.

Then why this sentences can use a singular nou?.Example, ' They have an apple in their hands','

You can't say 'They are an idiot'. 'The verb 'be' equates two things.

But you can say 'They have an apple'. The verb 'have' just shows possession.

Those cars are my friend's car', You can't equate multiple cars with one car.

It's like saying 'Three cars are one car'. It doesn't make sense.

' Their car ' Two people can own one car, eg my wife and I have a car.

They have a special abbility. This is a slightly different case. They each have this ability.

Here's something for you to think about..

eg The people who live on my street drive to work. They have a car.

This can mean they each have a car. Or it can mean they are joint owners of a single car.

Normally, the context makes the meaning very clear. In Canada, all the people who live on one street are very, very unlikely to be joint owners of a single car.

Why these nouns can take singular? As I noted above, 100 people can possess one thing.

So if my sentence is like this, which one is correct ?

'Many people lost their job.' This is fine. We often say this. Without any special context, we just assume that the people will each have one job.

or

'Many people lost their jobs'. This is also fine. We often say this. Without any special context, we just assume that the people will each have one job. We don't, for example, assume that each eprson has more than one job.

Other example is,' Max and Pat parked their cars ' This is fine. Sounds like you are talking about a total of two cars.

or

' Max and Pat parked their car '. This is fine.Sounds like you are talking about a total of one car.

Which one is correct then ?

What is the diffrence between these two sentences ?

Is this what you are saying ? I would always take this to mean that it is" two men in one car".

Both are OK.

There's nothing ambiguous, unless you can think of a case where 10 guys can have one body, or where a guy can have more than one body (eg he had a brain transplant from one body to another?

)
