Despite the importance of art, it is undeniable that most people prefer having a job in fields such as business, science, and technology. In this essay, I am going to discuss the reasons and possible solutions.

To cull out the causes behind this issue, I should start with money. The key factor in choosing a career for anyone is income. It is worth mentioning that a low-level employee’s wage working in the business industry is much higher than an artist’s pay. Not to point out that artists should sit and wait for their artworks to be sold so that they can be paid and be able to afford living costs. This is why the majority consider art as a hobby rather than a profession.

To increase people’s interest in fine arts culture, the government authorities should take necessary steps. Allocating budgets to the industry, establishing new art schools and colleges, funding international exhibitions, and boosting job prospects are possible solutions to this matter. The education system also must be responsible for raising public awareness and giving the youth an opportunity to find their path freely.

To sum up, diminishing arts equals a doomed cultural heritage. Society should start appreciating it, authorities should assign financial support to the field and acknowledge its value. This way people might actually be able to choose this path not only out of passion but also to make a living.
