In general, "arts and crafts" is a fixed expression.

In my opinion, it would only be capitalized as part of a title, eg, "The Arts And Crafts Fair."

Hi Avangi,

Thanks for helping me.

Sentence: To help kids appreciate arts at the young age.

Can you please tell me if "art", instedad of "arts" should be used? (I graducated from Fine arts, that how my certificate says: Fine arts and I never really realized there was arts)

Thanks

These things all have different meanings, tinanam.

I walked into a little arts and crafts shop/studio.
The whole fixed expression "arts and crafts" often implies a group of "creative" hobbies.

She excelled at art.
This would probably be taken to imply painting.

She excelled at the arts.
This one's up for grabs. It could range from paint

Hi Avangi,

Thanks again. I think "to help kids appreciate the arts at an early age" is what I want to express.

Have a great day.
