In the fourth line, is "as is dressing inappropriately" considered as a ellipses? Is it like the following example?
What kind of grammar is this one? As I want to study more, could you please give me the source to study it? I knew we can use 'so' in this way , but I didn't know 'as' would be work in this way.
They all joined the new gym and after three weeks so did he. (… and after three weeks he joined the gym too.)
"Arriving late is sure to ruin your chances, as is dressing inappropriately."
Is full sentence as following?
"Arriving late is sure to ruin your chances, and dressing inappropriately is sure to ruin your chances."

Actually, I have no idea if we should call this "ellipsis". But setting terminology aside, the whole idea seems to be there. I don't understand it as a sentence that is missing anything.
