Arriving at the gates of heaven?

Hi, everyone.

Could you tell me whether the following is correct?

It's actually a caption to a photo showing a boy entering the door of his house after staying a whole year in a hostel.

"Arriving at the gates of heaven from the depths of hell."

If you add "This boy is" at the beginning, you have a complete sentence.
