Arrived with vague meaning

Hi friends. I've got a question. Could please anyone help me? Sometimes I get puzzled with obvious things, but its me.

-It will be all over the press tommorow - Lightman
- That's tommorow's problem - Torres
- How do you think we arrived at today?- Lightman

So what is he talking about? May be it lacks context but I have no idea what he meant saying that.

Thank you for your help.

Just a guess. He may be saying "We got to where we are today (presumably in a bad situation) precisely by ignoring problems and hoping that 'tomorrow' will take care of them."

Thank you, I guess I get it.

FandorinHow do you think we arrived at today?
today is being used as if it were a place -- a destination. What did we do that caused us to be in the situation we find ourselves in today? (Odd turn of phrase, I think.)
