The 30-year-old singer's daughter arrived via scheduled caesarean section at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City last night.

Does "arrive via scheduled caesarean section" sound common in US English? What do Americans normally say?

It is fine in American English. I've read that almost one-third of births are by cesarean section, and the operation is usually planned in advance. But the situation is not a common subject for casual conversation.

I agree with Alpha, but I have always preferred the term "delivered" when speaking of C-sections.
