1. He just arrived.

2. He has just arrived

3. He has arrived.




Let us take an example at your office. If someone asks you whether Peter has come to work, what would you say in the case you saw him coming to the office a 2 or 3 minutes ago?

All could be said for the best of my knowledge of English. You might think otherwise.

If I wanted to emphasize that it happened a few minutes ago I wouldn't probably choose (3) since 1 and 2 suit the case better. Don't you think so?

If I wanted to emphasize that it happened a few minutes ago I wouldn't probably choose (3) since 1 and 2 suit the case better. Don't you think so?
