Vocabulary

arouse/generate/produce

Hello,
Can I use all three of them here: "These rumours aroused/produced/generated intense interest among investors"?

Thank you

I would go with "generated". "Produced" is okay, but I prefer "generated". I would not use "aroused", because for me arousal has always been more appropriate for sexual connotations.
